Looking back, I can see that many of the lessons that shape how we care for ourselves begin early. As young girls, we start learning about confidence, discipline, and self-awareness — often through experiences that quietly guide us long before we have words for them.
Reflecting on my journey as a performer touring throughout the United States, those early lessons came into focus. Balancing rehearsals, performances, media appearances, and constant travel meant I had to be intentional about exercise, nourishment, and carving out quiet time to recharge.
Over time, those choices became essential — not just to stay in shape, but to perform at the level of excellence I demanded of myself, night after night.
